Does Your Input Match Your Output?

Welcome back to the current issue of the Law of Attraction Key Newsletter!

How many times have you heard someone say that it’s all about energy? Well, I’m going to agree with that, it really is all about energy. Everything is energy. But if you are still struggling with keeping your energy positive and attracting what you want, then there is more you need to know.

Here’s the deal, what most people don’t realize is that there are 2 powerful aspects of energy that must be in agreement for you to manifest what you want in life (or better).

I promise you, that if you are struggling in any way, these 2 aspects are either misaligned or they are aligned toward what you don’t want – instead of what you do want.

That’s why I wrote this issue and focused it on helping you get your input and output aligned toward what you desire – so that the positive manifestation can begin!

I know you are ready for the life of your dreams – and I applaud you for being here.  I applaud you for realizing how important energy is.  I applaud you for trying to plug in and get yourself in alignment so that you can attract everything you desire.

Does Your Input Match Your Output?

Today we’re going to talk about something that is absolutely essential to your success, but it so often gets missed.  When it comes to successfully manifesting the life you desire, your input MUST match your output and vice versa or else you are going to run into some serious roadblocks that include (but are certainly not limited to):

  • Procrastination
  • Feeling Stuck
  • Banging Your Head Against a Wall (proverbially speaking that is)
  • Hitting a Success Plateau
  • Indecision
  • Doubt
  • Worry
  • Frustration
  • Inaction
  • Over Analysis

And the list goes on and on…

Now, let me be clear, everything on the list I just gave you is normal and to be expected – but what I want to point out to you today is that when you are experiencing any  of these things, that is a great indicator, or clue, that your Input and Output aren’t matching.

1. Let me define what I mean by Input:

Input is anything that comes to you in any way shape or form that colors what you experience, view and believe about yourself, the world, other people, animals, God, cars, umbrellas ANYTHING!

The Most Common Forms of Input are:

  • Friends and Family
  • Media – Visual, Auditory and Written
  • Strangers – Anyone you cross paths with but don’t know or anyone in the public eye
  • Animals
  • Subconscious Beliefs
  • Conscious (Chosen) Beliefs

2. Let me define what I mean by Output:

Put very simply, output is the energy you give out.

Here are the most common ways that you output:

  • Conversations
  • Energy – what mood you are in
  • Internal Thoughts/Self Talk
  • Non Verbal Interaction

So, basically…

Input is what you take in and Output is what you put out

Here is why it is so important that your Input and Output match. When they match, you get whatever the match creates.

So if your Input and your Output are BOTH primarily negative and full of negative expectation, then most of what you get in your life will match that negative energy and expectation.

On the other hand, if your input and output are BOTH primarily positive and full of positive expectation, then most of what you get in your life will match that positive energy and expectation.

And when your Input and Output don’t match, you get a whole bunch of crossed wires and mixed signals and feeling and contradictory beliefs…

In other words, you get the list I gave you earlier…

  • Procrastination
  • Feeling Stuck
  • Banging Your Head Against a Wall (proverbially speaking that is)
  • Hitting a Success Plateau
  • Indecision
  • Doubt
  • Worry
  • Frustration
  • Inaction
  • Over Analysis

Obviously, if you want to get positive results in your life you have to make sure that your Input (what you take in) is primarily positive and also that your Output (what you give out) is primarily positive – and you have to be diligent about it.

How do you make sure your Input is primarily positive?

The first step is awareness, so start by taking a good and honest look at your current inputs with this 2 step process…

1. Assess each input area (from the list below) and write down the most influential factors/people in each area. 

  • Friends and Family
  • Media – Visual, Auditory and Written
  • Strangers – Anyone you cross paths with but don’t know or anyone in the public eye
  • Animals
  • Subconscious Beliefs
  • Conscious (Chosen) Beliefs

2. Write down if each influence is primarily positive or negative.

I’m not telling you to cut everyone and everything out of your life that you discover is a negative output, but awareness makes for amazing change and you can use that awareness to shift the energy of that output.  There may be some people or situations that you choose to limit, but we all have to deal with negative input at times, so the power is in how you deal with it and how you can set up your interactions to be more positive in the future.

3. For the next 7 to 10 days –pay attention to all of the input that you have in your life – and pay attention to the Input you actively seek out.

How do you make sure your Output is primarily positive?

Again, the first step is awareness, so start by taking a good and honest look at your current output with this 2 step process…

1. For the next 7 to 10 days –pay attention to all of the Output that you give off in your life (use the list and suggestions below to help your awareness).

  • Conversations – do you gossip a lot or talk about limitations a lot or do you focus on positive things that you are doing?
  • Energy – what mood you are in – what energy do you consistently put out there?  When someone asks you how you are, what do you say? What do you think? When is your energy most positive?  When does it shift to negative? How are you when you are driving, waiting in line etc.
  • Internal Thoughts/Self Talk — Do you jump to negative or positive conclusions?  Do you believe in possible or impossible most of the time?
  • Non Verbal Interaction – What is the subtle interaction you consistently have with other people, animals, nature etc. are you closed or open. Pay special attention to your physicality with this.

2. Watch your input and your output – make sure they match and make sure they match what you want to attract.  If they don’t ask yourself what you can do to change your input to help alter your output.

Get into this…make it fun! Don’t judge yourself when you become aware of negative input or output, instead get excited, because with that awareness comes the opportunity to shift to positive input or output.

Remember, this takes time! Take it one input at a time and one output at a time – don’t try to do it all at once – that doesn’t work –with anything!

Quick Tip Look Who’s Talking…
Here are some quick suggestions to help you instantly match your Input and Output!

1. Limit when and how much you watch the news, read newspapers etc.

Some people think I’m crazy when I say this, but I stopped watching the news about a year after September 11th You see, I watched the towers fall from my apartment window and in the year following I got absolutely addicted to the news and the negative energy that came with that was very harmful.

So, when I became aware of what was happening, I stopped cold turkey.

Since then, I have lived the most abundant, prosperous, joyful time of my life – and here’s the kicker, any time something big and news breaking happened that I needed to know about, I found out about it so I didn’t miss anything.

I’m not suggesting you put your head in the sand, but I am telling you, that the bad things that happen in this world are only going to start to heal when we pull our global attention off of them…because as we know, what you spend the majority of your time focused on is what you get more of.

2. Have a strategy for dealing with the people you love who pull you into negative

Look at your relationships and assess when you leave that person feeling good and also when you leave that person feeling badly – then set up interactions so they primarily center around the situations, events etc. that leave you feeling good with that person.

3. Adjust your online time to be positive focused

This one is pretty self explanatory…but truly, even though the internet is amazing and powerful tool, it can also steep people in negative input…now remember, input can come from you too, so you could spend 4 hours on the internet going to amazingly positive blogs and sites etc. BUT if you get off the internet and you feel badly about yourself because you spent ‘too long’ or ‘wasted time’ then it changes from positive to negative –

The key with the internet is to have your time on the internet be positive in focus AND have the amount of time you spend on the internet feel good to you…for some people that will  be no time and for some that could be all day – it’s up to you…it’s your life!
