Success in 15 minutes a day — will you commit to yourself?

Experiment time!

There are 39 days left in 2009…

I thought an experiment to see how far you can move forward while still enjoying the holiday season was appropriate!

First let me ask you this question…

If I told you that you could significantly move your life forward between now and January 1, 2010 and it would only take 15 minutes a day…

Would you commit to dedicating 15 minutes a day EVERY DAY for the next 39 days?

I’m going to assume you answered ‘Yes’!

So this is what we are going to do…

Starting today and going through Dec. 31, 2009 I want you to do 1 thing each day to move yourself forward…

Here are the rules:

  • You MUST do 1 thing each day
  • The ‘Thing’ you do MUST take 15 minutes or less to do…
  • The ‘Thing’ you do MUST push your comfort zone
  • The ‘Thing’ you do MUST make you feel like you have somehow moved yourself forward toward one of your goals

Got it?

It is up to you if you are going to focus on one area of your life to move forward for the next 39 days or if you are going to focus in several directions…

Either way, you WILL see a huge difference IF you absolutely commit to do this AND you follow through.

To help you out, I want you to leave a comment now stating that you are taking part in the challenge and what your focus is.  I also want you to tell me what it is you will do today.

This is another case of you are either in or you aren’t…

I know it’s tough love…but if you are just going to try to commit 15 minutes a day, you aren’t going to get where you want to go…

15 minutes…to move toward the life of your dreams…

  • I KNOW you can do this…
  • Commit to it now…
  • Tell me you’re in…
  • Tell me your focus…
  • Tell me what you will do today!

Have fun with this!!

YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY!

Go Big!

Kristen

I have been doing this for 6 years……………just don’t think it works, I’ve been out my comfort zone, I have fought for following my dream, I have tried hard to share my dream with my husband to get him on board, I have invested in my dream, felt miracles happen, felt in the zone, felt huge joy and peace………..but not managed to attract what I needed in order to continue without having to revert to teaching…….now I teach and I can feel all my creative time slipping away. It doesn’t work! it’s the emperors new clothes!

I am in. I will get my product online and get that provisional patent.

  • By Barb, November 24, 2009 @ 8:20 am

Is anyone on here familiar with provisional patents?

  • By Jackie, November 24, 2009 @ 9:10 am

I have been out of work for sometime now. I always spend hours applying for jobs online and such. However I will spend 15 minutes a day doing more networking, calling people, which is harder for me then applying on craigslist, monster and the like. I will also find and read something positive everyday regarding life, taking action, love or something like that. Also, where action is required I will take that action even if my stomach is turning and my heart is beating. I have had a lot of time to think these past months and it is true I am the only one who can change my life. Thank you for the challenge!!!

  • By Nandini, November 24, 2009 @ 9:54 am

I have been committing more than 15min everyday to my growth in several directions and IT WORKS LIKE A MIRACLE!..and i intend to continue with it positively..i do not believe its emperors new clothes (not if you understand and do it right)..that probably would happen if one gets stuck with a particular thing and refuse to be flexible..cheers..love reading your mail.

I am committed to express daily gratitude for 15
    minutes

  • By Raws Ruffin, November 24, 2009 @ 2:11 pm

Thanks for the challenge, Kristen… what I need to do requires a 30 minute per day commitment. I am a songwriter (among other things) who has been “off the wagon” since 1998 when my last almost magical spell of creativity came, happened, and quickly vanished. I recently came upon your site by way of 2 other “motivational” programs which have led me to take fantastic leaps of faith and follow what I otherwise would have considered “silly” hunches. One of those “hunches” involved learning how to create an album (12-15 songs) of original music within 30 days by investing at least 30 minutes a day being wildly creative. I get to produce results that will be heard and experienced. And I’ll have 9 days to spare since I’m starting now!!! And yes, I will be reporting back with all the other fine folks on this comment thread. Thanks again.

The first minutes of a new day must begin like this: be quiet in a few minutes and listen to your heart what it has to say. Maybe you’ll hear like this: “my wonderful friend, I love you today.”
Remember the 15 minutes of silence can accommodate 15 hours active working day. Choose the best part, so no one can take it from you

  • By Tina, December 1, 2009 @ 8:44 pm

Hi Kristen…15 minutes…I will spend 15 minutes a day decluttering…some of the items will be thrown out, some put on Etsy and Ebay and the rest put where they belong. My goal is to have a room of my own to meditate, create and enjoy.

  • By Liz Nelson, December 3, 2009 @ 1:17 pm

    Hi Kristen,
I am in there, mine will be to meditate on what it is I really want and try to see it.
