Everyone I know that refuses to admit to making mistakes keep making them over and over. The fear of being “wrong” keeps them from learning the lesson and moving forward – very sad. I am glad I can say when I make a mistake, find the lesson and move on. It can be hard to find the lesson, but the time and effort is worth it. Even if the only lesson is not to “do it again,” there is value! Nothing is worse than repeating the same mistake…Happy New Year, Kristen and everyone else.

The main lessons are in endurance and persevence against all odds. The second lesson is how money and politics intrude into our lives. Then there is the expectation of the nations for their athletes, forgetting they are human, and last the discrimination despite all the rhetoric. I think your intention was to alert us to the effort that is needed to succeed.

I learn to know that mistake is not the end of the show but after the mistake to rise up again, learn from the mistake, make proper correction and move ahead.

She can’t learn from her mistake because she didn’t make one. She is there competing with the best because she is there competing with herself. Most go by the saying, “if it works, don’t fix it”, while the best say, “if it works, let’s make it work better”. It is this that makes her the champion.
