When will you finally be ready?

I had an interesting conversation the other day…

I was talking with my best friend about a mutual friend of ours that is finally branching out with his own consulting business after years of running a consulting business for someone else…

As we were talking about this, my best friend said, “Do you think he’s ready?”

I thought about it for a second and this is what I said…

“I don’t think he’ll be ready until he’s doing it…”

We both laughed because it’s so true…

Think about it…

When are you ready? And I mean REALLY ready?

I’ll tell you when…

When you are doing it…

Don’t get me wrong…

You can (and must) prepare…

You can practice and get all of your ducks in a row (whatever that means)…

But you will finally be ready in the exact moment that you are doing it!

Here’s an example…

An athlete can train, hit practice hard and work all of their drills…

But when are they ready for the game?

During the game!

Here’s the deal…

So many people get stuck in the ‘Getting Ready’ phase and they never move onto the ready phase…

Be honest with me here…

What is it you are ‘getting ready for’ and have been ‘getting ready for’ for longer than a month?

Here are most of the things I hear that people are getting ready to be ready for…

  • Losing weight
  • Getting into shape
  • Starting their own business
  • Finding their passion
  • Starting to design the life of their dreams
  • Getting in the game
  • Connecting with their kids
  • Connecting with their spouse

and the list goes on and on and on…

So what is it for you?

It’s time to get in the game and START going big…

Enough getting ready!

Can’t wait for your comments on this one!

Go Big!

Kristen

You’re so right Kristen, sometimes I’m making those steps smaller and smaller so I can stay ‘nearly ready’ but they will disappear if I just get in the game.

I Get ready by thanking all those entities who know me, Blessing the Day, then I am ready. When I am close to anyone with-in 3 feet. They are going to hear about the life saving benefits of my business. Each person might or might not be interested in what I had to say. So that teaches me and gets me ready for the next person

Hi Kristen, that is extaordinary, last night I actually ordered my business cards. Today you send me this article. Are you reading my mind?
Any way I’ve finally done it, the first step I mean. I actually felt phsically sick after doing it. I don’t know why I feel so nervous!
Next step is the web site. Wish me luck I’ll keep you posted.

I learned how to swim by swimming. It was by being thrown in at the deep end of the pool, so I had no choice but to learn or drown. Sometimes life needs that choice and then it’s easy as pie! I choose to live, ergo I’m gonna do it and wait for the rest of the stuff to catch up!

    Nice one Kristen,
This is the truth. Feal the Fear. The universe is really testing to see if you are up to what you say you are.
Scary, and by looking at people in the success line, they have been at the starting point too.

This is so true, we spend so much time getting ready that we never begin. At least when you begin you will see the ares you need to improve, unliking spending years and months preparing, you may even find out that you were preparing in a wrong way 0 e.g the way you prepare for running or high jump differs, you will need to do different exercises for these.

Thanx, I am ready for anything

    This makes perfect sense logically.
    It makes perfect sense.
It is that first step that seems to be SO big, or the thought of that first step that needs to be overcome.
Why then is it so difficult to take that first step?
