The Inner Game of Success

How to Get More From What You Already Have:
Ever feel like you don’t have the …
• TIME to get everything done?
• ENERGY to accelerate your progress?
• RELATIONSHIPS to make everything run smoothly?
• MONEY to show for all the hard work you’ve been doing?
Here are a few tips I teach my clients to achieve what I call The Peak Performance Edge:
1. When you say, “I don’t have time”, you’re lying to yourself.
Imagine that you’re going through your day, when suddenly the phone rings. It’s a relative telling you that one of your family members has just had a serious accident, and you’d better get to the hospital fast.
Do you say, “Sorry, I don’t have the time”? Or do you drop whatever you’re doing and get to the hospital pronto?
Now, was “Go to hospital” on your to-do list for today? Of course not!
But, because you suddenly had a greater reason to go to the hospital than not go to the hospital, you MADE the time.
My point is not that you should live your life in “crisis-mode”. The point is, whatever you determine to be truly important, is exactly what gets done every day.
2. If you want to attract the right people, become the right person.
Everyone you meet is wearing two invisible signs. The first sign says, “Please make me feel important.” The second sign says, “Help me first.” The problem is, everyone is waiting for everyone else to go first!
Be the one who goes first. The more you acknowledge, appreciate, and seek to serve others, the more great people will be drawn to you.

3. Focus on what you HAVE, not on what you lack.
Most people are suffering from the disease of “not-enoughness”. This comes from focusing on what you don’t have, which produces…more feelings of NOT having!
Every night before bed, write 5 things you’re grateful for. Doing this will build feelings of confidence and self-worth.
4. Use AFFORMATIONS®.
No, that’s not a misprint. In 1997, I discovered AFFORMATIONS—empowering questions that change your subconscious thought patterns from negative to positive.
For example, you’ve probably used ‘affirmations’ like, “I am rich.” And your brain replies, “Yeah, right!”
Instead of a statement you don’t believe, using AFFORMATIONS causes your mind to search for why you are, in fact, rich. That’s why changing the questions will change your life.
Use these tips to master the Inner Game of Success so you can experience more time, more energy, better relationships and more money!
“Hello Kristen, A marvelous morning for you.
The idea I want to expand upon today is something Noah hits on something in the first tip, and that is the phenomenon that happens when we suddenly have MORE reason to DO something than to NOT do it. In other words, we have a massive paradigm shift. This happens all of the time with things we have been procrastinating on like:
We talk about losing weight for years and never follow through and then have a doctors appointment that shows us we will develop Diabetes if we don’t do something now and suddenly we have MORE reason to DO it than to continue NOT doing it.
We talk about starting our own coaching business for years and never follow through and then we lose our job and suddenly we have MORE reason to DO it than to continue NOT doing it.
You get the idea. Now, here’s what I want to get to – you don’t have to wait for the health threat or loss of job or anything else in order to get out of ‘talking about it’ and into doing it – you simply need to find the thing that gives you MORE reason to DO it than to continue NOT doing it. So play with this – don’t wait for tragedy (you don’t need it) – give your attention to something you have been procrastinating that you KNOW would cause a great and positive shift in your life and ask “What would give me MORE reason to DO this than to continue NOT doing it?”
This works because, we shift our focus to the YES instead of the NO (we are trained to look at the NO for most of our lives, so the NO becomes habit – however, this simple tool helps you transform that and has you start looking at the YES out of habit instead)!
