And one of the real secrets to making life work in a big way is by taking what I call Inspired Action.
Following that small voice inside that wants to guide you out of struggle and into prosperity — that nudges you gently in the direction of your desires.
Sometimes listening to that voice, following our instinct, intuition, gut-feel can be scary (even when we know deep down it’s RIGHT).
That’s why this first issue is dedicated to following inspiration and having the courage to see where it may lead. The results are often unexpected and miraculous.
To make sure this newsletter serves YOU, your comments and feedback are critical, so let me know what you think! You’ll find a link at the bottom of each issue that leads you to our site to leave your feedback.

Forced Action Vs Inspired Action
I’m sitting at my computer, excited to write to you about the magical power of inspired action… and I’m stuck.
You see, I want to help you “get” how powerful inspired action is, how essential it is to your success. I want to help you see and feel that you have the most brilliant compass within you and when you finally learn how to trust it and follow it’s quiet guidance it will take you to greatness beyond what you have dreamed.
And I know people struggle with forced action -vs- inspired action because I get emails about it every single day.
And yet, I’m stuck…
So, looking for inspiration, I skype my friend and ask him, “When was the last time you followed an instinct that went against common sense?”
POW – his words came flying off the screen at me…
“Seems like most of my life doesn’t make sense to other people, just to me.”
That was his response, so simple and SO powerful!
When you live through inspired action, the choices you make won’t always make sense to other people.
I have made so many choices that made other people look at me like I was out of my mind. And when the results I got made it clear that I was right, those same people who thought I was crazy were the first ones asking me “How did you know to do that?”
And my answer is always the same – “Instinct!”
I want you to get this – it’s a life changing concept.
In fact four of the biggest moments in my life came down to 1 moment of inspired action – where I followed my instinct and went against the grain:
1. I decided to walk out of one audition for a part that was perfect for me so that I could go to a different audition that just ‘felt’ right – I ended up booking my first Broadway National Tour.
Now, you have to realize how crazy I seemed when I walked out of the first audition – as a performer, that’s something you just DON’T do.
2. I turned down the understudy in a new tour slated for Broadway, twice, because I wanted to play the role instead of understudy it — a year later they hired me and I made my Broadway debut playing the role I originally wanted.
Again, good friends of mine were literally yelling at me, “You’re crazy – this is going to kill your career – you can’t turn this down!”
3. At a particularly low point in my life – when EVERYTHING was falling apart and I seemed to have no options to turn things around, I was inspired to send an email at midnight to a local coach.
That 1 email caused events to unfold that, in 4 months time, took me from making $300/week walking dogs to building and running a million dollar sales team.
This is one of those moments where I look back and say – I don’t know what made me do it, and it made me REALLY uncomfortable to do it – but the fact that I did changed my life. This one really pushed my comfort zone, not only was I asking for help and boldly reaching out to someone who I revered and respected, but I was doing it at midnight!
4. I was inspired to make a phone call to a company about a product I ordered and 2 years later I ended up owning 50% of that company.
This is a great story, I ordered a product from this company and received it, but they had the wrong name on the package – so to be nice I called them to let them know in case this was going to cause some confusion for them in their records. The guy I spoke with casually mentioned that they were struggling with their customer service and fulfillment – so I said, “I’ll do it.”
He hired me on the spot and 2 years later when one of the owners was leaving, I was offered his 50% share of the company.
The reason I shared these 4 stories from my own life with you is, first, to show you how powerful our instincts can be when we just trust them, get out of the way and take action.
But also because I want to give you a valuable tool so that you can use Inspired Action in your life to consistently get results.
Here’s what you can do to instantly activate your intuition…
“Look for Proof!”
One of the most powerful ways to get into alignment with your intuition is to look to your past for proof of when following your instincts has worked for you. The second you see how inspired action has worked for you before, your belief sets expand and you instantly align with your intuition.
So, how do you look for proof? Ask yourself these questions:
1. When in your life have you had a strong instinct to do something – that may have seemed off topic, disconnected or out of left field – but you did it and when you did it brought you success in a way that you never would have imagined?
2. When, in your life, have you ever been faced with a situation, relationship or opportunity that seemed like exactly what you had been looking for, BUT in the pit of your stomach you knew it wasn’t? And, even though, you had absolutely no rational justification to feel this way, and other people thought you were crazy, you decided to walk away and it turned out to be the best decision you could have made?
The Difference Between Forced Action and Inspired Action:
The struggle between forced and inspired action most often shows up when we want something in our lives to be different. Most people look at the things they are dissatisfied with and do one of two things:
1. Ignore it (Bad Idea)
2. Try to FORCE it to change by taking action (EVEN WORSE Idea)
Forced action is any time you are trying to force something to change or ‘think’ your way out of something. Forced action tends to stem from fear, doubt and worry.
Inspired Action is when you feel a strong instinct to do something. Inspired action stems from openness and trust.
Here are the tricky things about Inspired Action…
- Inspired Action doesn’t always seem completely practical
- Inspired Action will often make you push your comfort zone
Imagine taking 1 step (just 1) of Inspired Action every single day…
How different will your life be a year from now?
What about a month from now?
Or even by the end of the day?
Are you getting excited yet?
Great! Here’s a trick to help you…
Every day, look at your current primary goal (target) and ask yourself this one question:
‘What 1 step can I take today, that pushes my comfort zone, I KNOW will take me 1 step closer to ————– (fill in your goal here)?’
Now here’s the key to this trick…
1. It has to be 1 step and 1 step ONLY of Inspired Action
(Call Jimmy to talk about our Joint Venture is 1 step, Get new website up is multiple steps.)
2. You HAVE TO TAKE THE INSPIRED ACTION!
The cool part is that most of the time the step of Inspired Action will take less than an hour and will move you forward more than 10 hours of JUST ANY ACTION.
Seriously, 1 inspired action phone call will normally change your life faster than 10 hours of organizing your office.
If you can actually change your life in 1 step of Inspired Action a day and in 1 hour or less a day, when is the best time to take the first step?
Make Sure It’s Inspired Action
I know what it’s like to wonder if the action you are going to take is inspired or forced – sometimes it is hard to tell the difference – let me help!
As I said before, forced action can keep you busy and running in circles every day for the rest of your life while inspired action doesn’t eat up all of your time and definitively moves you toward your goals.
Knowing the difference between regular action and inspired action will eventually become a ‘Gut Instinct’ for you…and once you tap into your intuition the Law of Attraction will work for you in ways you never imagined.
BUT…chances are good that right now you are like most people and much, if not most, of the action you take is probably inspired by fear. So to help you get in touch with the difference between Forced Action and Inspired Action, I have a tool for you…
There is 1 question you can ask yourself to discover if your instinct is guiding you out of Fear or Inspiration.
Before you take any action, ask yourself this question:
“Will doing this move me toward my goal of __________, away from my goal of __________ or will it keep me running in place?”
IT’S IMPORTANT to name the goal SPECIFICALLY, if you are general and don’t get specific this won’t be as effective.
If your honest answer is that it will move you toward your goal, GREAT, GO FOR IT…you are about to tap into the Law of Attraction Key of Inspired Action.
BUT…if it will move you away from your goal OR keep you running in place then ask yourself this question:
‘What small action can I take RIGHT NOW to move me toward my goal of _______.”
When an answer pops into your head, ask yourself the first question again just to make sure you aren’t fooling yourself.
GO TAKE INSPIRED ACTION!
Remember, the Key to the Law of Attraction is Inspired Action. And once you tap into the power of Inspired Action you will stop taking action out of fear and in doing so will start immediately start attracting the life you desire.
