If someone walked up to you right now and told you how stupid you were and how you were screwing up your whole life, would you let them talk to you like that?

NO — you would defend yourself, you would walk away, you would get angry — or a million other responses, but chances are good that you wouldn’t just sit there and take it…

So, why is it ok for you to talk to yourself that way?

This is so important…

I’m all for wanting more and wanting to get out of procrastination and all of the things that hold you back, but telling yourself you are stupid or weak or a failure isn’t going to help!

• Be careful with yourself…
• Be mindful of the things you say to yourself…
• Start to really pay attention to the snap judgements you make and how often you apologize or feel wrong or stupid –

You are extraordinary — that’s the truth!  And if you aren’t quite ready to tell yourself that, I’ll yell it from the rooftops until you are ready!

• Support yourself…
• Encourage yourself…
• Be kind to yourself…

You will have more successes if you do…

1. Think out of the box
2. Get out of the box
3. Don’t get trapped in the box

You get the idea…

Well I want to make sure you are clear on 2 very important things when it comes to living out of the box…

1. The ‘Box’ isn’t the same for everyone

2. The ‘Box’ will change for you if you are really living out of it

Here’s the deal…

If you look at what most people would think is ‘Out of the box’ but it doesn’t push your comfort zone at all, then guess what?

That’s their box not yours and if you spend your life living out of someone elses definition of what the box is, you won’t ever live up to your potential.

On the other hand, if what someone else defines as “Out of the box” pushes your comfort zone so far that it will break and you try to live out of that box, you will be TOO uncomfortable and it will backfire.

So what do you need to do?

Figure out what “Out of the box” is for YOU!

Which brings us to the second point that you need to know…

Once you start living out of the box, the definition of “Out of the box” will consistently change for you because you are stretching and growing.

What does that mean to you?

That means — stay aware and keep adjusting your view of what “Out of the box” is to you!

Living “Out of the box” is essential if you want your life to be about growth and progression, but without these 2 important points you can get lost!

• “How do I get people to give me the break I need?”
• “How do I get people to put my products in front of their list?”
• “How do I get people to introduce me to someone that can really help me?”
• “How do I get people to really appreciate me?”

and so on…

I get it…I used to wonder those same things…

BUT I had it all wrong…look at the questions I listed above…

What is the one part that repeats in every question?

“How do I get people to…”

I’ll tell you now…you need to stop looking for how you can get them all to make your life better and more successful and instead ask yourself this question –

“What do I bring to the party?”

And here’s the deal with this…

I didn’t say to ask yourself  what you bring to the table…

THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE…

What you bring to the table is all of your natural gifts and abilities…

What you bring to the party is who you are, what you give, how you act, the energy you give off…

Let me explain further…

I know a TON of people that bring a lot to the table…

I mean they are talented and bright and have potential that you wouldn’t believe…

BUT…

They don’t bring anything to the party…

In fact half the time they don’t even show up to the party, and when they do, they are so busy sitting there wondering why no one sees everything that they bring to the table, that they come off as angry, withdrawn, insecure or boring — they actually betray what they bring to the table by bringing nothing to the party…

So, ask yourself, what do I bring to the party?

Weird topic –  but stick with me here and you’ll see why I’m all fired up…

My friend said, “When I was little, I was the girl that would sign my name and take up like half the page when I did it…”

Then she continued…

“Until one day when my grandmother saw me and she said, ‘You can’t do that!’”

You can’t do that…

How many times have you heard those exact words?

How many times did you hear them — or something a lot like them — before you were 10 years old?

I guarantee you can’t count how many times!

And here’s the deal…

When people say that to you, for the most part, there really truly are trying to protect you from something (at least in their own minds)…

But let’s get real…

YOU CAN’T DO THAT has to be the worst 4 letter phrase around!

Then my friend said the most amazing thing — and this is the thing I really want you to think about…

She said, “Sometimes I look back and think that I wish I was still that girl…”

Here’s the truth…

You CAN DO THAT (assuming you aren’t hurting anyone please) AND even if you used to do that and stopped when you were told that you couldn’t do that…

You are STILL that person…

THAT is still the essence of you — even if it’s a bit buried, that is still who you are!

How can you reclaim that essence?

What are some of the things you were told you couldn’t do?

RECLAIM THEM!

I know you are ready for your life to be different…

I know you are ready

• to have more money
• to lose more weight
• to find the love of your life
• to experience great success

Now here’s the question that is so important to your success here…

I know you are ready, but are you WILLING to be different?

Because here’s the key…

To have a different life, YOU need to be different…

There isn’t another way…

What you have in your life won’t change unless you change

• How you make decisions
• How you handle success
• How you handle failure and mistakes
• How you handle your time
• How you set up boundries
• How you value yourself
• What you consistently focus on
• How you translate the things that happen in your life

and on and on and on…

If you are waiting for your life to change from the outside…

You are going to be waiting forever…

So…I’ll ask you again…

Are you WILLING to be different?

Every time you have to make a decision today, I want you to stop and ask yourself 2 questions first…

Here they are…

1. “If I made this decision out of fear or a feeling of lack what would I choose to do?”
2. “If I made this decision out of confidence or a feeling of abundance what would I choose to do?”

So often we choose out of fear and a feeling of lack, and I promise you that when you choose from that place, you are heading down the wrong path…

Now, let me be clear…

I know there are times where all we see is lack and all we feel is fear, and I’m challenging you to just look at what other options you have when you make decisions.

The state you are in when you make decisions GREATLY influences the outcome and path you travel down…

Most of you will be shocked at how often you are choosing out of fear and lack…

It’s time to look for a different motivation and here’s the great news…

Your circumstances can be exactly how they are right now and you can choose out of confidence and abundance –

Here’s what happened…

My amazing customer service manager, Gail, sent me an email…

She said that someone wanted to cancel their Go Big VIP Membership  and she couldn’t find them in the system.

I told her I would take care of finding them.

So I did, I looked them up and finally found them in Clickbank…now here’s where it gets interesting…

Under the reason for cancelling, they chose to put “Didn’t receive sufficient value to merit ongoing payments.”

Okay, no big deal — but the thing that was strange to me was that I didn’t recognize their name and I do 2 calls with my VIP members each and every month so that seemed odd.

So I looked into it further and discovered that not only had this person NEVER been on a single VIP call, or even emailed me a question they were having so I could answer it, they had actually NEVER even signed into the member site to use the monthly modules and workbooks…

And this was my AHA moment…

I realized that so many of us think that if we just buy something, the person who we bought it from will somehow change our life without us doing anything…

We don’t consciously think this — but subconsciously we do…

In this example, this (now canceled) member of my VIP Program didn’t do a thing to participate and actually look for the value.

It is absolutely my responsibility to provide as much value as I can — (and my program won’t appeal to everyone and that’s ok)…

But, it was his responsibility to show up and look for the value — and use the value — in fact, it was his responsibility to bring himself into the equation to get the most value for himself!

So here’s my question for you…

When you decide to do something or buy something — do you wait for the other party to bring 100% of the value? Or do you show up 100% as well?

Bring value to everything you do — bring yourself 100% to everything you participate in –

And you will gain the most value possible from that experience…

Here it is…

There is a HUGE difference between Responsibility and Blame!

I repeat…

Responsibility is NOT the same as Blame!

So many people get stuck on this…

In my Go Big VIP Program I am constantly asking everyone to take responsibility for their lives…

And I have to remind them that taking responsibility doesn’t mean they should blame themselves.

Here’s the deal…

Your life is a reflection of your true beliefs (in fact, if you want to know what you really believe, look at what your life is like and you’ll see…)

You can change your beliefs — which means you can change your life…

BUT ONLY when you claim responsibility.

Taking responsibility for creating your current circumstances is empowering because in claiming that you created your current reality, you are acknowledging that you can create a different reality…

BUT…

If you BLAME yourself for your current circumstances — you will only get stuck…

Do you see the difference between responsibility and blame?

It is a fine line — so beware how you walk it –

• Empower yourself!
• Claim responsibility!
• Realize that you are so powerful that you have created your current reality
• Congratulate yourself for being so powerful and take a good look at where you want to create a NEW reality
• LEAVE BLAME BEHIND…

That is how you free yourself from being stuck…

This works for everything:

• Money
• Work
• Relationships
• Health
• etc.

I asked myself a different question than I had ever asked myself before –

Do you want to know what that question was?

Of course you do…here it is…

I asked myself this…

“Who do I need to be to have ___________ ?”

Here’s another great follow up question to that one…

“What do I need to believe to have ____________?”

And another powerful question…

“How do I need to act and look at life and handle setbacks to have ___________?”

Here’s the deal…

Whatever you want, I guarantee there is proof in this world that it is possible because I promise you someone else has it –

Study those people that have what you want –

• Who are they?
• What do they believe?
• What do they focus on?
• How do they handle setbacks?
• What do they expect?

This works for EVERYTHING –

Whether you want

• More money
• To lose weight
• To be a famous artist
• To have a successful business
• To find the love of your life
• To excel at your current job
• To discover your passion and purpose

etc. etc. etc.

STOP looking at what you don’t have and instead focus on who you have to be to have what you want…

I promise you that right now you are EXACTLY who you need to be to have what you currently have — and I know you are ready to change that!
