Entrepreneur By Choice or Necessity – 3 Tips You Need Now

The world is changing…

I’ve been coaching people for years to find their passion and turn it into a business. I have coached people just starting out and I have helped current business owners maximize their businesses to multi million dollar businesses and there was one thing that all of my clients had in common…

They were Entrepreneurs by choice.

But now things are different…

People who never thought about starting their own business are suddenly forced to think about it. People are getting laid off or living under the impending doom of being laid off or at the least having their pay significantly cut and it is turning people into Entrepreneurs not out of choice but out of necessity.

There is a tidal wave of people who feel that they have to attract money fast AND they can NO LONGER rely on their job to do it.

• I see great possibility in this time…
• I see the opportunity for many to actually discover something they love and turn it into a business…
• I see the potential freedom for all of these people…

BUT I know there are lessons they will need to learn and because many of you are now entrepreneurs by necessity, I want to help you shorten the learning curve as much as possible.

• I know you feel like you need to attract money fast…
• I know you feel like you lack the luxury of time to discover what it is you really want to do…
• I know you are seriously pushing your comfort zone…

Whether you are an entrepreneur by choice or necessity, I know you are going through all of this because I went through it too and I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made and shorten your journey where mine was long and painful.

I have received more emails than I can count from my subscribers telling me about this opportunity and that opportunity and that they don’t know what to do and which direction to go and how not to make mistakes. I know if you have someone guiding you openly and honestly you are more likely to start to succeed quickly!

So let me give you 3 tips right now:

1. I know you feel rushed, but you MUST take a few minutes to decide what areas of focus actually excite you. I promise you that when you start as an entrepreneur, if you start in an area you love, your chances for success increase by almost 80%.

2. Do your due diligence! There are 8 million people out there saying they have the opportunity that will make you a millionaire or financially free or an extra 10k per month. Some of them are legit and many are not. Do your due diligence. Find out everything you can about them and their success rate. Ask people you respect if they know anything about them. ALWAYS talk to someone at the company first before you dive in. How you are handled now is a great indicator of how you will be handled if you use their system or product or coaching.

3. Stick with 1 thing! I talk about this a lot in my coaching…I call it the ‘Something Shiny’ Epidemic. This is where you are so excited about an idea that you are sure is going to make you the money you need fast that you jump in, BUT the second another opportunity comes to you, you are lured to it because it seems like it might get you money faster. Trust me…I lived like this for a while and all this did was put me in debt. It wasn’t until I took a second to only look at opportunities that excited me THEN did my due diligence and THEN chose 1 and STUCK WITH IT that my life turned around. Learn from my mistakes on this one!

What is Freedom to You?

Today I’ll start with a question:

What is freedom?

Not by definition…I’m asking a more personal question and that is…

What is freedom to you?

It’s different for everyone.

My opinion is that freedom is more valuable than money.

Here we are in the ‘Land of the Free’ but when I look around I see people who feel caged, like they are on the ‘Effect’ side of someone else’s ‘Cause’.

If I asked everyone I met what it was they wanted, I guarantee you if we broke the answer down, we’d find that what they really want is to be free. We all connect freedom to something different, for some that’s money, for some it’s love, time, connection, travel, choice…the list is endless.

The challenge is this…we need to know what freedom is to us if we are going to achieve it (we are all free already, but what will make us realize and feel that freedom is different for everyone.)

I have received quite a few emails recently about ‘Visualizing’ and how to effectively use visualization…

One of the best exercises I can give you is to picture what ‘Freedom is to you’.

Remember do it in great detail…

Don’t tell me Freedom is lots of money, or love or anything else you may answer…

Get specific, tell me what your day will be like when you feel free. Don’t just paint the main part of the picture, fill in the background with as much color and detail as you can.

I Dare You to Ask Yourself This 1 Simple Question that Will Change Everything

It’s human nature…

‘What is Kristen?’

I’ll tell you…

We spend more time justifying why we haven’t done something than it would take us to actually do the thing we haven’t done.

When it comes to attracting money or finding our purpose or taking steps toward the life we desire, we to procrastinate.

Why is it so easy to say things like, “I’ll do it tomorrow?” and then wake up tomorrow feeling terrible because we let another day go by without doing whatever it was?

We do this with little things and big…and either way the message is the same…when we let another day go by without doing something…big or small…the message we send to ourselves is, “I SUCK!”

Vice Versa when we do actually take action on something proactive…big or small…the message is also the same, “I ROCK!”

So what gives?

First of all…I am going to stand up and say that I think most of us have quite a few things on our ‘Lists’ that we keep putting off because quite simply they don’t really need to be done.

I know crazy thought right!?

I realized this the other day as I was changing the date for when yet another task was due in my Outlook Calendar…I realized that I had been changing the date on that specific action item for over a year.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Over a year??!! So I asked myself one simple question…

‘Will doing this move my life forward or make me any happier or better off than I am right now?’

I was met with a resounding, ‘NO!’

And so I did the most amazing thing…

I deleted it…and felt like 5 lbs lift off me.

So, I tried it with the next thing that popped up as a ‘To Do Reminder’…I asked myself, ‘Will doing this move my life forward or make me any happier or better off than I am right now?’ and this time the answer was ‘Yes!’

UGH…it was a yes…and it was going to push my comfort zone…but it was a yes and now that I knew it was a yes if I didn’t take action I would really send myself the ‘I suck’ message…so…I gritted my teeth and did it…

It took 5 minutes…

And when I was done (it was a phone call) there was no doubt in my mind that ‘I ROCK!’

So that’s my new thing…with everything…I ask myself some form of this question:

Will doing this move my life forward or make me any happier or better off than I am right now?

This works with attracting money, discovering your purpose, making plans, possible opportunities, who you spend time with, how you spend your time, what clothes you wear…EVERYTHING

Life changing…

3 Questions to Help You Make Money from Your Passion

I am so excited for you!

From the emails I am getting, it looks like so many of you are on the path to discovering your purpose and what you are really passionate about AND then turning it into a money maker for you…

So now what?

To make money from your passion, you need to ask yourself three Essential Questions.

Grab that pen and paper again…and let’s go!

3 ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS FOR MAKING MONEY FROM YOUR PASSION:

1. What problem do people have that I can solve?

2. Why and how can I help them solve their problem? What is it that I’m bringing to the table that will make their life so much better?

3. Are the people with this problem ready to spend money for a solution?

Before I get a whole bunch of emails about how you shouldn’t want to capitalize on other people’s problems to make money…let me say these 2 things:

1. I NEVER want to encourage you to take advantage of someone else in order to make money.

2. I DO know that if you can help someone solve a problem they are having then you ABSOLUTELY deserve to be compensated for that.

AND I will tell you, that if you have a solution for something and you give it away for free, most often people won’t value it and they won’t take action and use what you are giving them to change their situation.

Right now I want you to look at any problem that you can solve as EXTREMELY VALUABLE!

Think about it, when you have a big challenge or problem, isn’t it worth money for you to pay someone if you know they can help you solve it?

Of course!

I actually just hinted at something that is very important when you are deciding what problem you are going to help people solve…and we’ll get into that next time.
