I asked someone this same question the other day and he responded, “Sorry, I don’t see the difference.”

The difference is everything…

I mean EVERYTHING…

And here’s the key…

Your answer may be different for different areas of your life…

So ask yourself to get specific…

When it comes to money –

Are you playing to win, or are you playing NOT to lose?

When it comes to relationships –

Are you playing to win, or are you playing NOT to lose?

When it comes to health –

Are you playing to win, or are you playing NOT to lose?

When it comes to your life –

Are you playing to win, or are you playing NOT to lose?

Because here’s the deal…

This IS your life –

So, are you going to play to win? Or are you going to play NOT to lose?

Do you see the difference? Because the difference is everything…

You have a whole bunch of things that you are interested in –

There are a ton of possibilities for your own business –

You don’t want to miss anything or leave anything behind –

So, you are ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Ring a bell?

I know it does for me…

For years I was so scared of choosing to focus in one direction for fear that I would have to put everything else aside forever…

Well, I have a secret for you…

I was wrong — I mean W R O N G!

I was so busy trying to do everything at the same exact time, that I was getting nowhere fast!

I realized that I could have everything I wanted if I would just set up my time in chunks of focus — but the key to my success with this is that when I would block off time to focus on something, that was the ONLY thing I would focus on during that time…

No emails

No phone calls

No distractions

Then, I would shift to the next chunk of time that was dedicated to something else and ONLY focus on that…

And what happened?

My life changed –

My WHOLE life changed…

I had more money coming in than I ever had before

I was able to say ‘Yes’ to more opportunities

My relationships thrived

My health/body/fitness went from being that last thing I took time for to a consistent focus

My sense of peace increased significantly

And more and more and more…

So, what’s my point?

I’ll tell you –

You CAN be, do and have everything you desire when you schedule the time to focus on each thing — one thing at a time!

Try it — for one week — you’ll be amazed!

“Are you your own advocate?”

You may have heard that you need to be your own advocate when it comes to your health care, and that is so true…

But, I want to take this a step further…

You need to be your own advocate in EVERY area of your life…

• With health
• With money
• With relationships
• With business
• With your home or your car
• With your dreams
• With EVERYTHING…

Take care of yourself, ask questions, when you instinctually feel that something is important — make sure it happens…

I know that sometimes it is easier to just go along with things even if they don’t feel exactly right, I know that being your own advocate will sometimes cause you to have to push your comfort zone…

But please do it! Right now, commit to being your own advocate in EVERY area of your life…

Trust yourself…

Always hold your best interests in your heart and act from there…

Today, we are going to talk about weaknesses –

Here’s the deal…

I’m NOT from the school of thought that tells you to discover your weaknesses and spend all your time strengthening them –

I AM from the school of thought that suggests that you spend 80% of your time on your STRENGTHS — so what do you do with your weaknesses?

I’ll tell you — here’s 3 questions to help you with this…

Question #1: What are my weaknesses?

Once you answer, forgive yourself — it’s okay that you aren’t perfect, we ALL have weaknesses!!!

Question #2: How much of my time am I spending on things that primarily involve one or more of my weaknesses INSTEAD of on my strengths?

Question #3: Who do I know that has strengths where I have weaknesses and how can I get creative about creating a WIN/WIN so we develop a mutually beneficial relationship that has both of us spending most of our time on our strengths?

Stop trying to be perfect and fix all your wekanesses — that doesn’t mean you don’t want to improve – improving is great! BUT here’s the deal — when you spend 80% of your time on your strengths, your happiness and results will increase (because we tend to like what we are good at)…

Look at every area of your life and ask yourself these questions — you’ll be amazed at the results!

Question1 : What are your strengths?

Seriously…

Stop worrying about being ego based and self-involved and answer honsetly…

What are your strengths?

List them out — write them down — type them into your computer…

Whatever you need to do so that you can look at your strengths list at any time.

NOW — here’s the next question…

Question 2: How much of your time are you spending doing things that involve 1 or more of your strengths?

And the last question…

Question 3: How can you spend MORE time EVERY DAY, doing things that involve 1 or more of my strengths?

Here’s the deal –

Even if you only spend 10 minutes more each day doing something that involves 1 or more of your strengths, your life is going to start to change!

I know it will because that’s what happened with me!

The most important thing is that you know who you are.

Do you?

Do you know who you are?

I mean at your core…

I mean separate from all successes and failures and material things…

Do you know who you are?

Do you believe in your heart and soul that you are a good person who is acting from good intentions?

THAT is what I mean…

Once you know that — you are free — people may question you (based on their limiting belief sets or past experiences) BUT if you know you are acting from good intentions, that is what mattters…

Know who you are — believe in yourself — and know you deserve all of the abundance, joy, fulfillment and peace that you can imagine (and more)…

Sure, it may take some ups and downs (that’s okay, and natural) –

But the thing that will take you through all of the ups and downs and ebbs and flows, is knowing who YOU are –

I know who you are — You are extraordinary! I am honored to know you…

Who are you ready to be?

Notice I didn’t ask “What are you ready to have?”

So many people give 100% of their focus to what they are going to achieve or have — things like…

• I’m going to get out of debt
• I’m going to have a successful business
• I’m going to lose 50 pounds
• I’m going to have a wonderful, supportive, romantic relationship

etc. etc. etc.

Now, don’t get me wrong — those are great things…

BUT I want you to really think about my first question — so I’ll ask it again…

• Who are you ready to be?
• What kind of person are you ready to be?
• How are you ready to act?
• How are you ready to push yourself?
• How are you ready to treat other people?
• How are you ready to treat yourself?
• How are you ready to demand to be treated?
• How are you ready to love?
• How are you ready to live?
• How are you ready to trust?

etc. etc. etc.

Get the idea?

I’ll tell you this…

Who you are ready to be — has more to do with what you desire to have than you may realize –

And I don’t mean that how it sounds…

I guess a better way to put it is that this post is inspired by the birds — stick with me here…

This morning I got back from my run and as I was cooling down, I looked up and noticed all the birds –

Different kinds of birds, flying around, landing on telephone wires, landing for a second on a tree…

And that’s when I had the thought that inspired this post — I thought, “Wow, there are so many different kinds of birds, some are big, some are really small, some are colorful, some are plain, some chirp melodically and some caw and squawk – but they were all built to fly and there is enough sky for all of them.”

So, here’s my point –

We are like birds — we are all different — but we were all built to fly — and whether it feels like it or not, there is enough sky for all of us…

BUT, when you get caught up comparing yourself with others, or trying to be a different person than you are, or just convince yourself that there isn’t enough room for us all to succeed and step into our own, unique, greatness — then you clip your wings and never get off the ground…

Today I want you to try something —

• Try celebrating who you are every time you are tempted to compare yourself with someone else
• Try looking for success clues from someone who is like you when you feel frustrated because you don’t know how to move to the next level in your life
• Try assuming there is enough of everything for you to live the life you desire when you are tempted to believe there isn’t enough (money, time, opportunity etc.)

Try it — remember, I’m just asking you to try it today, you don’t have to commit to anything more (after all, today is all there is anyway)…

Okay — I’m not gonna lie — there was a period of time when that made me want to run out of the car — rolling my eyes the whole way…

BUT — now I have to say how brilliant that was of her…

Even though I didn’t always love that moment in the car, I always remembered to say “please” and “thank you” and it became a habit…

And now, I’m amazed at how many people NEVER say “please” or “thank you” — and that base level of courtesy and respect is what we all need!

It may seem small, but small things can change your reality, and change the world in the process — I promise you this, people will notice you and they will appreciate that you took a second to say “please” or “thank you” — you will make more than 1 persons day — every day that you do this — and you will start to command a different level of respect from others…

Try it!  As you wake up every morning — make sure you grab your bag of “pleases and thank yous”…

What’s the best day of your life?

Did you answer the first thing that popped into your mind?

What was it?

Hold on, before you tell me, let me guess okay?

You either went backwards in your mind to a day that is past OR you took your mind forward into the future to a day you want to have happen…

Am I right?

Now, listen closely, because this is important…

The best day of your life…

is TODAY!

I’m not saying that to be all positive and flowery…

I’m saying it, because it’s true…

Think about it…

The best day of your life is today because today is the ONLY day…

That great day that you thought of when I first asked the question — it already happened or it hasn’t happened yet…

But today is happening right now — and how you live today — what you think, what you value, what action you take — that is what matters most.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there is much to be learned from your successes of the past (your great days of the past, if you will) AND there is great power in having a full, positive and abundant vision of the future –

BUT

Today is the day and that will always be the truth!

Be the person you want to be NOW, TODAY — doing that doesn’t require a certain amount of money or success or love — being the person you want to be TODAY only relies on your thoughts, values, intentions and actions…

You are extraordinary TODAY!
