What do you bring to the party?

Okay…I’ve recieved more than a handful of emails in just the last day asking me things like

  • “How do I get people to give me the break I need?”
  • “How do I get people to put my products in front of their list?”
  • “How do I get people to introduce me to someone that can really help me?”
  • “How do I get people to really appreciate me?”

and so on…

I get it…I used to wonder those same things…

BUT I had it all wrong…look at the questions I listed above…

What is the one part that repeats in every question?

“How do I get people to…”

I’ll tell you now…you need to stop looking for how you can get them all to make your life better and more successful and instead ask yourself this question –

“What do I bring to the party?”

And here’s the deal with this…

I didn’t say to ask yourself  what you bring to the table…

THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE…

What you bring to the table is all of your natural gifts and abilities…

What you bring to the party is who you are, what you give, how you act, the energy you give off…

Let me explain further…

I know a TON of people that bring a lot to the table…

I mean they are talented and bright and have potential that you wouldn’t believe…

BUT…

They don’t bring anything to the party…

In fact half the time they don’t even show up to the party, and when they do, they are so busy sitting there wondering why no one sees everything that they bring to the table, that they come off as angry, withdrawn, insecure or boring — they actually betray what they bring to the table by bringing nothing to the party…

So, ask yourself, what do I bring to the party?

Leave me a comment and let me know!

What if you can’t visualize?

I do alot of talking about visualization and really seeing what you want to achieve…

I have received many emails crying for help — and here’s why…

There are a lot of you that can’t seem to visualize…

You can’t ‘see it like a movie’ or ‘create a picture in your mind’…

So does that mean you won’t get what you want?

NO! Don’t worry!!

There is a way…

Free yourself from being able to ‘See it’…

Here’s what you can do instead…

  • Describe it in full detail as if you were describing it to someone else –
  • Use your words and imagination to fill in all the blanks…
  • Describe exactly what you want a day in your ideal life to be…

BUT — and here’s the key…

Describe it to me, in the present tense!

Make sure you use all your senses — tell me what you see, what you hear, what you smell, what you touch and MOST IMPORTANTLY…

Tell me how you feel…

THAT’S THE KEY!!

How does all of this make you feel?

I promise you that once you start describing all of this in full detail and really get into how it makes you feel, you are ‘Visualizing WITHOUT needing to See it in your mind’…

If you are having trouble ‘Seeing’ and ‘Visualizing’ then do this…

AND if you are having trouble knowing exactly how to describe your ideal life — start smaller — start at the next level (this is something I tell you exactly how to do in the Go Big Now! VIP Monthly Program) –

Leave a comment here and describe to me in full detail — remember to include how you FEEL!!

You are extraordinary!

Discipline is only causing you pain?

In life there is pain…

That doesn’t mean life has to be painful…

But there will be pain…

I want to talk about 2 specific types of pain — these aren’t the only types, but they are the 2 kinds that determine a lot about the life you design — or don’t design…

So what are they?

1. The pain of discipline

2. The pain of regret

Now don’t get me wrong here…

You know I am all about creating a life of flow and ease and not forcing your life…

Which leads me to the pain of discipline –

Let me rename it to– The pain of consistently pushing your comfort zone in order to move you toward your goals…

That’s really what it is…

Just discipline to be disciplined can rob you of a lot of joy…

And so many of us see crazy strict discipline AND will power as the only way to get what we want — but the pain of that random and meeningless discipline is EXACTLY why we consistently choose NOT to follow through.

That’s why we need to redefine it IMMEDIATELY so that you can start to thrive…

Here’s what I want you to do…

Throw out discipline and will power –

You heard me…

Throw it out!

Now before you get all giddy, here’s what I can tell you…

What I am going to ask you to replace discipline and will power with will make you VERY uncomfortable…

BUT it will also bring you results!

Replece discipline and will power with choosing to consistently push your comfort zone in order to move you toward your goals…

Every day…

Don’t just do things to be disciplined…

Do them, because they make you uncomfortable AND will move you toward what you want…

Doing this will save you from the worst pain of all…

The pain of REGRET…

Are you ready?

Leave me a comment and tell me how you will push your comfort zone this week…

Are you wasting this commodity?

Most of us are wasting time…

Why?

Because we aren’t choosing what to do with our time…

We are filling it up with the things “We have to do” or are pleasing the people that “Call the shots”…

Let me ask you this…

How often do you find yourself thinking that you

  • Are wasting time
  • Don’t know where the time went
  • Just had more time

or anything else like this?

Most people have an unhealthy attitude toward time which is too bad because it is the one commodity we all have the same amount of each day.

Here’s the deal…

You may think you are choosing how you spend your time, but I can almost guarantee you that you are lying to yourself.

Harsh right?

Maybe…

But it’s true!

Most people have a negative connection with time…

  • They constantly feel like they are catching up
  • That they don’t have enough time
  • That if they just had more time their lives would be drastically different

WRONG!  Just like with money, negative connections will cost you dearly!

If you have an unhealthy attitude toward time it won’t matter how much extra time I can help you find; it still won’t be enough or make you happy (and I can guarantee I can help you find AT LEAST 5 extra hours per week).

So how do we change the negative connection with time?

I hinted at it before…

You have to start to ACTIVELY CHOOSE how you are spending your time!

To be honest, you will often end up doing many of the same things you did before, but the shift to you choosing to do it as opposed to it demanding to be done will make ALL the difference in the world.

We’ll go into this in more detail because I know a lot of you are struggling with time and time management…

Let’s start with this…

I want you to answer this question:

“How do I feel about time?”

Write down 3 sentences that tell me how you feel about time and post it here as a comment…

We have to start here and THEN we can move to the next step!

Do it now…

Later is an excuse…

3 Sentences on how you feel about time — good or bad — do it!

I know I’m being extra strong about this but seriously, this is YOUR TIME and if you want your life to change we have to start here!

I’ll look for your comments!

How do you walk into a room?

We’ve been talking a lot about how to become a solution for someone else’s problem.

We’ve also talked about how important it is to approach people and ask them how you can help them instead of approaching people and telling them how you think you can help them.

I know from the emails I’ve been getting that some of you are already having GREAT success with this and some of you are really struggling.

The biggest struggle seems to be in having people believe you are the solution.

Luckily this is where I can help…

As you know I am a coach but I am also an actress.  I have performed on Broadway and in Film and TV and the audition process is a great learning tool…

Here’s why…

When someone is casting a show or movie or TV show they have a problem that needs a solution.

Their problem is a script with no one to bring the characters to life and tell the story in a way that will come across to the audience.

That’s where an actor comes in…

Every person that walks in the door to an audition is a potential solution to that problem.

Now here’s the key…

When you walk into the room to audition, you better carry with you the belief that YOU ARE A PERFECT SOLUTION to their problem or you are going to be almost invisible.

Notice I didn’t say THE perfect solution and that’s because I am of the mind that to every challenge or problem there are multiple solutions…

But if you don’t go in there feeling that you are A perfect solution they will almost not even see you.

So what can you learn from this?

MANY, MANY things…

But the primary thing I want you to look at right now is making sure you do whatever you need to do before you approach someone in any way to absolutely believe that you are 1 perfect solution to their problem.

If you are feeling invisible, that’s what’s missing…

People are looking for solutions to what they are focusing on and if you don’t fit that, it’s nothing personal, you just won’t be on their radar.

I want you to remember this through all of it…

You won’t be the solution that gets chosen every time…

That’s ok…

Your ONLY job is to make yourself visible to them as a possible solution whether it’s now, later or never…

If you find yourself constantly feeling invisible there are 2 primary reasons:

  1. You don’t have conviction in you being a solution
  2. You are trying to make yourself a solution to the wrong problem (find the right fit and you’ll be amazed at what happens.)

So I ask you…

How do you walk into a room?

Do you walk in as a possible solution or do you walk in already expecting that you will be invisible and overlooked?

Be honest and leave me a comment so I can know how to continue to help you!

Go Big!
