Every time you have to make a decision today, I want you to stop and ask yourself 2 questions first…

Here they are…

1. “If I made this decision out of fear or a feeling of lack what would I choose to do?”
2. “If I made this decision out of confidence or a feeling of abundance what would I choose to do?”

So often we choose out of fear and a feeling of lack, and I promise you that when you choose from that place, you are heading down the wrong path…

Now, let me be clear…

I know there are times where all we see is lack and all we feel is fear, and I’m challenging you to just look at what other options you have when you make decisions.

The state you are in when you make decisions GREATLY influences the outcome and path you travel down…

Most of you will be shocked at how often you are choosing out of fear and lack…

It’s time to look for a different motivation and here’s the great news…

Your circumstances can be exactly how they are right now and you can choose out of confidence and abundance –

And today I want to introduce you to one of the most powerful questions there is…

I know SO MANY of you are frustrated and feel like you are banging your head against a wall wondering WHEN will you finally have the success you are looking for…

I get emails about it all the time — emails that say things like:

• “Kristen, I’m doing everything I can think of, but I still don’t have enough money…”
• “Kristen, I’m doing everything I can think of, but I still haven’t lost the last 20 pounds…”
• “Kristen, I’m doing everything I can think of, but I still haven’t met my soul mate…”
• “Kristen, I’m doing everything I can think of, but I still don’t have enough time…”
• “Kristen, I’m doing everything I can think of, but I still don’t have enough opportunities…”

and the list goes on…

I know you are nodding your head right now in agreement — I know you know what this feels like — I’ve been there too…

UNTIL

I shifted my focus — this is what I did…

I asked myself a different question than I had ever asked myself before –

Do you want to know what that question was?

Of course you do…here it is…

I asked myself this…

“Who do I need to be to have ___________ ?”

Here’s another great follow up question to that one…

“What do I need to believe to have ____________?”

And another powerful question…

“How do I need to act and look at life and handle setbacks to have ___________?”

Here’s the deal…

Whatever you want, I guarantee there is proof in this world that it is possible because I promise you someone else has it –

Study those people that have what you want –

• Who are they?
• What do they believe?
• What do they focus on?
• How do they handle setbacks?
• What do they expect?

This works for EVERYTHING –

Whether you want

• More money
• To lose weight
• To be a famous artist
• To have a successful business
• To find the love of your life
• To excel at your current job
• To discover your passion and purpose

etc. etc. etc.

STOP looking at what you don’t have and instead focus on who you have to be to have what you want…

I promise you that right now you are EXACTLY who you need to be to have what you currently have — and I know you are ready to change that!

This is what you most often hear…

Spend 80% of your time on the 20% of actions that get you results

Well…I have a different example of 80/20 that flips it on it’s ear a bit…

Here you go…

Spend 20% of your time on the 80% of your customers that waste your time.

WHAT? What do I mean by that?

Here’s the deal…

80% of your customers, prospects, clients etc. WASTE YOUR TIME…

In fact, some of them waste so much of your time that they pull you from working on the 20% of actions that get you the MOST (80%) of your results!

Clients fight me on this all the time…

They don’t want to devalue their customers, prospects, clients etc.

And that isn’t what I’m suggesting…you should value everyone until they stop valuing you and your time!

Here’s an example:

I was recently working with one of my 1-on-1 clients on this and she was having a really hard time with it…

She had a customer that was wasting tons of her time…

This customer had bought an ebook from her for $19.95 and was sending her at least 2-3 emails per day with different issues and challenges and cries for help –

She asked me what I thought she should do…

I said, “Give him a refund”

WHAT? But that’s money I’m throwing down the drain…

I asked her how much time this guy had already taken from her — and she figured it to be about 60 minutes and counting…

I asked her how much people pay her per hour to consult with them personally — she said $150…

Have I made my point? Does that make sense?

There are some people that are going to be more work than they are worth…

I know that sounds cruel…

And I don’t mean it personally…I’m not saying those people aren’t worth it, but just because they are buying from you doesn’t mean they own you…they need to value you and your time too…

So, in her case, I told her to either lay down some boundries OR refund him…

She refunded him…

I promise you the 60 minutes she gained will be much more valuable in the end — especially since he had all the signs of someone that was going to ask for a refund anyway (it just would have been AFTER he wasted much more of her time)…

Don’t get so wrapped up trying to fix things for your high maitenance customers that you take time away from your dream customers!

This rule applies for every area of your life — ESPECIALLY personal relationships (but that’s a much more touchy subject, so I went at it from a business standpoint)…

I have received many emails crying for help — and here’s why…

You can’t ‘see it like a movie’ or ‘create a picture in your mind’…

So does that mean you won’t get what you want?

There is a way…

Free yourself from being able to ‘See it’…

Here’s what you can do instead…

• Describe it in full detail as if you were describing it to someone else –
• Use your words and imagination to fill in all the blanks…
• Describe exactly what you want a day in your ideal life to be…

BUT — and here’s the key…

Describe it to me, in the present tense!

Make sure you use all your senses — tell me what you see, what you hear, what you smell, what you touch and MOST IMPORTANTLY…

Tell me how you feel…

THAT’S THE KEY!!

How does all of this make you feel?

I promise you that once you start describing all of this in full detail and really get into how it makes you feel, you are ‘Visualizing WITHOUT needing to See it in your mind’…

If you are having trouble ‘Seeing’ and ‘Visualizing’ then do this…

I know this is a day where many people  get superstitious and expect bad things to happen…

I  like to look at things differently so on Friday the 13th I actually expect some surprise GOOD things to happen…

You ready to join me on that?

Right this second decide that today is your lucky day…

Think about when you were a kid and it was your birthday or the first day of vacation etc….

Remember what it was like to wake up EXCITED about the day…

You didn’t know what was going to happen, but the day had a feeling of promise and excitement to it…

That’s what I want you to do today!

If you are about to spout 8 million good reasons why you CAN’T do that like:

I’m bogged down in debt

I don’t have enough time

I don’t have enough money

I’m too stressed

My relationship sucks

I just lost my job

etc. etc. etc.

DON’T!

What?  How can I be so cold and insensitive to suggest that you just ignore all the bad in your life and expect something good to happen?

I’m not being cold and insensitive…

In fact, this is coming out of love…

JUST ONE DAY…

That’s all I ask…

1 day where you choose to get excited and feel like luck is on your side and the day is full of possibility…

1 day!

If you hate it you can go back to exactly what you usually do tomorrow…

But today is LUCKY Friday the 13th!!

I can’t promise you that your life will change today…

But I can promise you that if you do this today, you are planting the seed of infinite possibility and positive expectation…

Look for the small positive clues that surround you right now (I guarantee they are there if you look for them and stop looking for proof of how bad and desperate things are for you.)

Your mindset today determines your reality tomorrow (I know in reality there is only NOW, but you know what I’m saying.)

So…

Are you game?

Will you look at today with excitement and expectation?  You don’t have to know what you are excited about…in fact, that’s the point, you are surrounded by opportunity at ALL TIMES…so just get excited about that and about opportunity and fun and excitement being revealed to you.

YOU GET BACK ON AGAIN!

So, what do YOU REALLY do when you fall off a horse?

Chances are good if you are like most people I talk to…

When you fall off a horse, you probably think up suitable punishments and/or means to rectify your fall.  Think of all the ways you can try even harder and do even more to make up for the fall and make it appear as if it didn’t happen at all…

Some people decide not to punish themselves, but instead look to place the blame for the fall on someone else…

And other people pretend they never fell at all, shove their heads in the sand and ignore it…

It doesn’t matter how you handle falling…what does matter is that it takes precious time and energy…here’s what I mean…

Falling off the horse isn’t setback…the setback comes in the beating ourselves up, thinking how we’ve let ourselves down, about all this will cost us and what failures we are and how we are weak and not committed and lack follow through and will NEVER have what we want BLAH BLAH BLAH! We spend so much time and energy in all of that muck and mire that by the time we’re done it seems impossible to get back on the horse.

THAT’S the real setback…if you just fell and got back up again without taking the time to beat yourself up, look for someone to blame or pretend it never happened, you’d be surprised how small the impact of inevitable falls are…

Ask anyone who rides, ‘What do you do when you fall off a horse?’

It isn’t just a saying…I GUARANTEE they will answer, ‘Get back on again.’

Then ask them, ‘When?’

I PROMISE they’ll say, ‘RIGHT AWAY!’

You’re going to fall off the horse…there…I’ve freed you…given you permission…told your future.

So many of you have decided (either by choice or necessity) to break into your own business…

So many of you are banging your heads against the wall with the business you started…

I get emails every single day asking me what is the 1 thing I can say that will help you succeed faster.

If you need to start to generate money fast then listen up because chances are good you are wasting valuable time.

Listen closely because I’m going to tell you the most important thing you can hear about this…

Don’t reinvent the wheel!

When you start your own business you need to discover what makes you different from your competitors and identify your unique selling proposition and all that other stuff you hear and read about…

But here’s the truth…

Especially in the beginning…

Don’t reinvent the wheel!

Yes, you need to separate yourself from the pack, but at first, look at what the people who are successful in your business are doing and DO IT!

Get started…

Model success and go for it…

Let me throw some cold water in your face right now…

If you aren’t successful in an area, then you DON’T know better than the people that are!

• Listen to them…
• Watch what they do…
• Look at the moves they make…
• Follow their lead…

Eventually you will become successful and you will find what makes you unique and THEN you can invent something new.

But until then…

Give yourself a break and increase your chances of success by almost 80% and Don’t Reinvent the Wheel!

I can promise you this…

If you are genuine and show up as you, you will be unique from the beginning…

Just because it’s been said before doesn’t mean it’s been said how YOU say it…

Every time I have a coaching session with a client and I suggest they do something and they object to it because that is what everybody else is doing I say — everyone else is doing it because IT WORKS!

Put the odds in your favor…

I’m not saying copy someone word for word…

As I said, if you stay true to yourself, you will bring a fresh perspective and approach to everything you do even when you are modeling someone else’s success!

I want you to be honest with me now…

So what is it?

3 Times a Day for 30 Days, set an alarm and when it goes off, stop what you’re doing and ask yourself these 3 questions…

1. What am I focusing on right now?
2. Is focusing on this moving me forward, backward or sideways?
3. What can I choose to focus on right now that WILL move me forward?

That’s it…

It seems absurdly simple…

But the results can change your life…

Don’t judge yourself if you were focusing on something that wasn’t helping you move toward your ultimate life…

Just the awareness and decision to make another choice will be enough…

Here’s the deal though…

YOU HAVE TO DO IT!

Decide now to set an alarm for 3 specific times each day, schedule it or you won’t do it and this is ULTIMATELY important, and then DO IT!

Think about it, 90 seconds a day can change your life…
