Have you lost hope?
The other night I sat around talking with 2 of my closest friends.
We were talking about losing people you love and the process you go through afterward to reclaim your life…
We all agreed that when you go through losing someone who is very important to you, there is a healthy amount of ‘The small stuff doesn’t matter’ that follows…
And that’s a good thing!
However, one of my friends made the very good point that there is a flip side to that when you are suddenly faced with the reality that we are all going to live and then we are going to die and that flip side is the natural impulse to wonder why any of it matters.
Then she said the most amazing thing…
She said, “I feel like I’ve lost the constant hope I used to have. I’m still looking for it, but if I’m being honest, I’ve lost my hope.”
When she said this her eyes were so clear and honest and real…
I said, “Isn’t that just hope showing up differently?”
“What do you mean?” she asked…
“Well, you’ve lost your hope but you are still looking for it…so you have hope you’ll re-discover your hope…”
Her eyes lit up…
“Yeah, funny…you’re right.” She seemed relieved…
Here’s the deal…
When it seems like you’ve lost your hope, for whatever reason…
Ask yourself if you still truthfully feel that you are looking to have hope again…
Sometimes emotions show up in different ways than we are used to…
They have to re-design themselves so that we’ll notice them and feel them and not always recognize them…
Have you lost hope?
About anything…you can lose hope in one area and not another…
- You can lose the hope that you’ll ever be wealthy, but know that you have love
- You can lose the hope that you’ll live your dreams, but know you can make lots of money
- You can lose hope that you’ll ever feel excited about your life but know you can be healthy
So, have you lost hope?
Do you feel yourself looking for it…wondering if you’ll find it right where you left it?
Then let me give you the good news…
You still have it…
It is never too late for hope…
It is never too late to believe that things can change…
It is never too late to live an extraordinary life…
You can do it…one step at a time!
Don’t hesitate…
Leave me a comment and tell me where you have hope!
Go Big!
Kristen
